Who we are
This website is operated by Mid Mod Style (‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘our’), located at 6228 Fulton Ave., Unit 207, Valley Glen, California 91401. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit or buy from midmodstyle.com (the “Site”), why we collect it, who else sees it, and what choices you have.
Questions about this policy or requests about your personal information can be submitted through our contact form.
Information we collect when you place an order
When you check out, we collect the information the order form asks for: your first and last name, email address, shipping address (street address, apartment or unit, city, state, ZIP code, country), and, if you choose to provide it, a phone number. Phone number is optional; every other field listed here is required to complete an order. If you leave a note with your order, we collect that too. You do not need an account to buy from us: you can check out as a guest, or you can create an account before or during checkout. If you create an account, see “If you create an account” below for what we store in addition to the order information described here.
We use this information to fulfill your order: to produce and ship your print, to send you order confirmation and shipping updates, and to contact you if there is a problem with your order.
If you create an account
Creating an account is optional. If you create one, in addition to the order information above we store: your name and email address, any shipping and billing addresses you save to the account, your order history on this Site, a securely hashed version of your password (we never store your actual password), and the cookies that keep you signed in between visits.
You can review and update your saved information at any time from your account page on the Site. You can ask us to delete your account and the personal information tied to it by submitting a request through our contact form.
Deleting your account removes your saved addresses, your stored login, and your ability to sign in to that account going forward. It does not delete order records we are required to keep for the retention period described in “How long we keep your information” below; those records exist independently of whether the account itself still exists.
Information we collect when you browse
Our Site uses a small number of functional cookies to make shopping possible: cookies that remember what is in your cart (woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart) and a session cookie that ties your cart to your visit (wp_woocommerce_session_). These are strictly necessary for the Site to function and are not used to track you across other websites.
Google Tag Manager (container ID GTM-W22VNBSP) is installed on this Site and fires on every page load. As of this writing, this container does not load any analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies. If we add tools such as Google Analytics or a Meta pixel through this container, we will name each one here and update the “Last updated” date above before any such tool goes live.
Payment information
Payment on this Site is processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe handles payment details directly on our behalf and provides us only confirmation that your payment succeeded. You can read Stripe’s own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Who we share your information with
We share the minimum information needed to get your order to you and to take your payment. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.
- Printful, our fulfillment partner. Every print is produced and shipped by Printful on our behalf. To do that, we send Printful your name, shipping address, and order details (which print, size, and quantity). Printful does not receive your payment information from us.
- Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe receives the payment details needed to charge your order. We do not send your payment details to Printful, and we do not send your full order contents to Stripe beyond the total charged.
- Service providers who help us run the Site. This includes our web hosting provider, which stores the Site’s data on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes.
We may also disclose information where required by law, such as in response to a valid subpoena or court order.
We do not currently collect email addresses for marketing or newsletter purposes separate from your order. Order confirmation and shipping update emails are sent to the address you provide at checkout and are not marketing communications; you cannot opt out of these while still being able to receive your order.
How long we keep your information
We keep order and customer records, including any account information described above, for seven years from the date of your last order or account activity, to meet our own accounting, tax, and warranty recordkeeping obligations. After that period, we delete or anonymize the information we no longer need to keep. If you ask us to delete your account or your information sooner, see “Your choices and rights” below for what we can and cannot delete before the seven years is up.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by submitting a request through our contact form. If you have an account, you can also review, update, or delete much of this information directly from your account page on the Site. We will respond to a genuine request. Deleting information tied to a completed order, or to an account, may be limited by our own recordkeeping obligations (for example, the seven-year retention period described above), in which case we will tell you what we can and cannot delete and why.
We do not currently make specific commitments under the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). This is tied directly to the fact that midmodstyle.com currently ships only to addresses within the United States: it is not a permanent position. If our shipping scope changes to include destinations outside the United States, we will revisit this commitment and update this policy, and this page’s “Last updated” date, before that change takes effect.
Children’s privacy
This Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including as we add tools like analytics or email capture. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when changes are made and encourage you to review it periodically.
