About This Print

A low single-story house with an angled shed roof, floor-to-ceiling glass walls, and a warm wood entry door sits in a California-style garden below a wide-spreading tree, the whole scene drawn in warm cream, greens, and wood tones. The composition captures what mid-century modern architecture art was designed to argue: that a building could be open to nature and still be formally precise. A study or den is where this one reads best, the architecture of the print in quiet conversation with the architecture of the room.
