About This Print

Tightly packed parallel lines ripple and bulge across the picture plane in black and white, forming two large convex masses that appear to push forward and recede simultaneously. The technique descends directly from the 1960s op art tradition of Bridget Riley and Victor Vasarely, visual movement produced by nothing but the precise variation of line spacing. For geometric art prints mid-century modern interiors, this is the most demanding choice: it commands a single wall, lit cleanly, in a room where it can operate at full intensity.
