Retro Whimsical Fall

Stylized trees appear as thin black trunks topped by large flat circles in orange, deep red, amber, and dark burgundy, set against alternating bands of near-black and cream that read as hills and sky or sky and hills depending on how long you look. The image borrows the flat illustrative vocabulary of 1950s children’s publishing and uses it to make a genuinely adult autumn landscape.
